The conference supported by MOTTLES and organized by ARCHES-Conseils will take place in Paphos (Cyprus). This event is co-organized by the Committee on Air Pollution Effects Research on Mediterranean Ecosystems (CAPERmed), the Research Group "Air Pollution and Climate Change Impacts on Forest Ecosystems" of the International Union of Forest Research Organization (IUFRO 7.01.00), and the International Cooperative Programme on Effects of Air Pollution on Natural Vegetation and Crops (ICP Vegetation).

The International Conference will include a special session about MOTTLES project on 6th of May entitled "Forest protection against ozone: new approaches towards an effective policy decision-making".

Curitiba, Paranà, Brazil

​

In 2019, for the first time Latin America will host a World Congress of the IUFRO (International Union of Forest Research Organizations). This event will take place in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil (at Expo Unimed), from September 29 to October 5, and will be organized and coordinated by the Brazilian Forest Service (SFB) and EMBRAPA. Approximately three thousand participants are expected at the event, which will discuss various aspects related to forest research. The deadline for abstract submission is 31 December 2018.

Guangxi Forestry Research Institute, China

​

The next IUFRO Research Group 7.01 “Impacts of air pollution and climate change on forest ecosystems” biennial conference will be held on 13-17 May 2019 in Nanning, Guangxi, southern China. The deadline for abstract submission was 15 December 2018 but an extension is in progress.

The International Scientific Conference “Forest Science for a Sustainable Forestry and Human Wellbeing in a Changing World – INCDS “Marin Drăcea” 85 Years of Activity, Centenary of The Great Union in 1918″ is an open scientific event dedicated to the anniversary of 85 years of activity in forestry research of the National Institute for Research and Development in Forestry “Marin Drăcea”.
In 2018 this great anniversary event coincides with the celebration of 100 years since the Great Union of the Romanian historical provinces.
The conference is focused on forest research, with a large range of topics, including: the impacts of air pollution, climate change, biotic and abiotic stressors on forest resources status, adaptive management, modelling and mapping of forest ecosystems and their services, genetics, protected areas, ecological connectivity, new Earth-Observation technologies applied in forestry.

The International Conference will include a special session about MOTTLES project.

Following the success of the conference Ozone and Plants held in Beijing in May 2014,

we are pleased to announce this follow-up conference.

​

Ozone pollution continues to be a serious issue for terrestrial ecosystems and plant health. Progress has been achieved by controlling the emission of precursors in some areas of the world, but much remains to be done. This conference will allow all experts in the interactions between ozone and plant ecosystems to meet and discuss the state of the art and the strategies for continuous improvements.
